You'd have to look at the image because I don't really know how to describe it. I also don't know where to look to "delete" these duplicate entries to get rid of the warning. I almost feel like there should be a tutorial just dedicated to creating custom siege tanks because, based on my searches on these forums, there are a LOT of issues with them.
Not really sure. I did see your other post about this Siege Tank replacing the old one. I have never seen that kind of problem before - make sure you are duplicating the normal Siege Tank unit itself. The Editor has a couple other options for specialized purposes, which aren't as widely used as the simple duplicate.
When or if you decide to reset this Unit to the parent dependency, post in both relevant threads.
Here's an odd development. While trying to fix this, I'm trying to do a duplicate procedure (as described in other threads like this one). I copy just the actor(s) and the abilities. When I change the name of the siege mode version of the tank, it automatically changes the names of the default Siege Tanks to whatever I name the duplicate of the siege mode tank. That is REALLY odd.
Duplicating the siege tank (and its tank mode) does nothing. The same exact error (where the models are overlapping) occurs even on a clean map. Even worse, if I place an unsieged tank on the map and try to siege it in a test, it will no longer be selectable or move. Is there any tutorial for creating custom siege tanks? This is ridiculously over complicated.
Well I don't have any ideas at the moment. If I come up with any, I'll get back to you. Alternatively, someone else may be able to help. As for tutorials, I'm sure you could find some but I don't know of any off the top of my head.
Your errors indicate the events for the Unit actor are not set up correctly. The errors are saying you are trying to create Unit actors without destroying the old one. This is probably caused by the Morph events having lost the sub name or the dupe having not used the correct ability.
The name changing indicates that your unit name is still using the same Text Key link as the original. This is a known problem when duping some units. You need to go to the name fields of each individual component and change the key

I've actually solved the morphing issue, but still not the Naming issue. It seems to be linked to the siege mode version of the siege tank and if I rename the siege mode version then it changes all the names. What I forgot to do was create new abilities, specify my units in those abilities, and go into the actor events of the actors for the custom siege tanks and change their entries in "morph to/from" to my custom siege tanks. Sorry for such a late bump, I literally only figured this out now after months of banging my head against a wall at the data editor. This is still the same account as the OP by the way, I have no idea why it created a new one.
EDIT: To fix the naming issue, I had to go into the actors and mess around with the UI: Tooltip fields for the siege tanks (both default and custom) until they all said what needed to be said in their fields (because sometimes editing one field would mess up another). In any case, This is finally solved.
