Okay so first off. Hope you don't mind all the questions. I just hate running into dead ends. I tried searching this one up and could not find what I was looking for. Basically I am trying to get a number of structures to be placed that normally would not be able to be placed. I have this listed as structures and as buildings under models, but it keeps saying "Can't find Placement location". This is despite the grid being 2x2 for creep and 3x3 for regular ground seemingly. I am fairly certain this has something to do with the footprint, but I cannot understand exactly what it is. I tried to copy both the unit and actor from working ones. For some reason it did not work.
When I had a look at the placement check layer it appeared exactly the same as the original item I copied it from. Its a spore cannon that I was attempting to repurpose. Maybe it might not have to do with the footprints. I suspected it did due to that I solved this problem at a previous time with another item just by experimentally copying the item, then it was finally fixed once I reset the footprints.

You looked at the Placement Check layers of the footprints?

The spine crawler footprint requires creep for placement. If your structure has a morph also check the validators.

Okay. I am going to check some of these things then get back to you so can see more a less what might be the problem here.
