Use an Arm Magazine ability with an external magazine. Maybe give the SCVs the Wander behaviour. Give the tower an aura that searches for units and constantly cansts the Issue Order effect to repair but it has a validator of the Unit Compare Vital type that checks if the target has under 100% hp.

How can i make the repairbots ignore the buildings (pass trough them or go around them even tho they are closely spaced) and yet collide with destructible rocks?
"Give the tower an aura that searches for units and constantly cansts the Issue Order effect to repair but it has a validator of the Unit Compare Vital type that checks if the target has under 100% hp."
Ok this one is a bit of a bitch to me :) How is this done?
First i need to do a behavior with a search area effect that looking for damaged buildings. This part i can do but the next part is allot more tricky and i dont know how to do it.
How can i now issue the repair order to the repairbots to repair a random damaged building that the search area effect found? (I dont want all repair bots to target only 1 building, i want em spread out if possible).
Almost solved it but it still is a problem that i need help with.
I made my repairbots have a behavior to search for damaged buildings and then order them self to fix it. Problem is where the the search area for the damaged buildings take place. Right now the repairbot search for units around them and not around the repairstation as they should. The repaibots are "external magazine" units to the repair station.
How can i make the search area always around the repairstation instead of around the repairbots?
It would be great if somebody could explain to me all these option in the scrolldownlist to me.
After done allot of trying and failing and taken small steps forward, now i am finally at the end of it all but is not totally finished. I need help with a problem i just cant figure out my self.
The repair bots have a behavior buff to look for damaged building in 6 radius from the Origin Unit (i think this is the unit they belong to?!).
If they find any they will be ordered to repair that unit
The repair station that spawn the repairbots have energy thats drained constantly from a behaviour.
My problem is: How can my repairbots check if the repair station have energy or not? I have tried with different validators on the search area effect but that seams to be broken because i never get a validator effect to work on search area effect, Then i have tried to add it on issue order but without any good results.
Is my setup in my screenshot rly that strange and incorrect?
Come on and help me now, i have no clue why it dont work and i have no clue how to explore this. Arm magazine units need to be used but i dont know how to configure it correct and this is the last part if a big puzzle i have been fixing, need your help.
Its so pissing me off this data editor, it feels like sleeping with girls, you never know what you do wrong or right until you have everything right.
I tried my validator set on source and then gave the repairbot some energy and then it works perfect. But if i set it to unit origin then the validator should check the repair station but DOES NOT! How can such a small problem cause such huge mess. How do i fix this??
Try getting the repair station to have a search area that puts a buff on the target units that the issue order of SCVs requires via a validator. If the tower search finds a unit that does not have the buff then it can apply it. Then just give the search effect a validator so that if the heal station has no energy it will then disable the search and not be able to put the issue order buff on the target.
Origin does not refer to the caster unit origin is just what casts that effect eg. the second salvo of the voidseeker missile is launched from the origin which is the first missile.
Do you want the repair bots to self destruct when the -ve energy buff is off?
I have thought about that what you say already but what if i have 2 repairstations close to each other, then 1 station would give the buff to all repairbots even tho it should only give it to its own only.
But is there a way to target only the armed magazine units from its self then this would be a good way of doing it.
Mabye i have to completly redo it all.
Having the repairstation search for damaged units and then somehow order his magazine units to repair it would solve it but i dont know how that is done at all. I dont know any ordinary starcraft 2 units that does anything else but attack with magazine units so i cant look and learn from it.
I never destroy the repairbots, the wander around the repairstation looking for damaged units to repair.
Was actually thinking of targeting the stuff to be repaired.
Since you said your repair bots have a search that issues orders to target nearby stuff and you would like them only to repair stuff in the radius of the tower. By making the issue order have a validator that forces them only to target stuff with the buff you could solve at least that issue.
You could always have them as internal magazine units and apply the buff with the Effect - Effects (Launch)
@Sherlia: Go
Yes but you see i dont have that problem you think of :D
The target impact location for the search area is origin unit and that seams to work perfect, all buildings in the radius om the repairstation get repaired just as i want it and even if the repairbot is lets say over 10 in radius away from a damaged building then the search area with only 6 will order the unit to repair it so for some reason this works already.
So its really just the energy thing i have problem with now.
If it was possible to target only the armed magazine units then i could make a energy aura for the repairstation and make it so it gives energy from it self to only his own repairbots and then just make a validator that check if the repairbot has energy to repair with but i don't know how to do that either. This would however be more complicated later on with upgrades and such.
Could always apply a buff to the workers that then drain the mana since the buff when applied by the launching unit should refer to that tower as the caster. Similar to the infestor leech ability.
As i said, i dont know how to only give energy to the repair station OWN repairbot and NOT other repairstations repairbots.
What bother me is that i cant find the direct link between the main unit and the magazine units so that i can only target the main units own magazine units alone. Origin unit did sound so good but is aparently not working
Could always use the Effect - Effects (Launch) field of the Arm Magazine ability to cast a dummy effect on the SCV that then triggers a Combat - Damage Response - Handled from a buff that targets the casting unit linking them.
Or just get the Effect - Effects (Launch) field of the Arm Magazine ability to cast a buff on the SCV that periodically applies an energy damage effect like Infestor - Leech (Damage) but reversed with a disabling validator that it needs under so much energy.
Or you could do like the first method but it applies a persistant effect to the SCV and the damage response buff is disabled if it has over so much energy and it applies a behavior back to the tower exactly like the Infestor Leech (Drain Energy) buff.
I want to create a building that have a number of scv around it when created.
These SCVs "belong" to this building kinda like interseptors or whatever they are named to carrier. If the building die then they die.
Any damaged units around this building, lets say 5 in radius, will the SCV's repair.
How can i make a building like this?

Thank you! Is there any units i can look at that has some similar ability?
Cannot think of any off the top of my head

This is awsome :D So far i have got the small repairbots to wander like planed and i still have to issue the order for them.
How can i make the repairbots ignore the buildings (pass trough them or go around them even tho they are closely spaced) and yet collide with destructible rocks?

Maybe give them a buff that supresses collision using a modify flag yet has an enumerate area validator maybe combined with a Unit Type validator?

Ok, i dont understand to 100% what you mean, care maybe to make a demo map? I can clean my current map and upload it.
Here you go, and easy map to test everything.
