Is there a way to reset an upgrade with a command card button? for example, i want one button to research stalker-blink and another button to remove blink from stalkers.
i am not all that good at the Data part of the editor... but from what i know:
depends a little on if you want this upgrade to be for all units or for each unit...
i don't know if it's the same in SC2... but i remember in WC3 you were unable to unlearn a research/upgrade
but i guess it can be done if you change the requirement of the ability to be a buff or something? and then make an command card ability that add this buff to the unit...
yes, i want to unlearn researches/upgrades like blink or stim or ground armor etc.
i can do this with triggers, so maybe i make custom command card abilities just to trigger the events - but that seems pretty not straight forward. but if there really is no way to unlearn...
then i guess you just need to make some dummy command card abilities and have triggers check if those abilities are used... that'd also be my way of doing it
but i my self am still battling with making a dummy ability... so not sure i can help much there right now

anyway, thank you. the dummy ability thing works (instant effect ability) - but now i have the next problem with button visibility :)

well... i'd suggest looking at the Ghost's Hold Fire and Weapons Free abilities and see how it works with hiding and showing the button
Just use the same ability and no upgrades. Have the requirements for use/show count a hidden buff that a Specialize ability "researches"/unresearches.
