Is there a way to use a omni light in Low or Medium graphics?
Explanation: Why I want to do this?
I have a night map and need some type of light to reveal my character. This is because I have most of my map lighting turned off for appearances. Sadly omni lights do not work in default medium or low graphics. Currently I use an attached omni light to reveal the map around my hero.
In short i need something like the marine flash light that works in low or medium graphics.
Yes like a search light. I've already attached a omni light to my character. The Problem is omni lights, searchlights and lighting clouds don't show in medium graphics.
No, I mean the doodad model which is a large bank of stadium lights, if the opacity is set to 0 the light still shines and it is like the marine light. Try the ShadowFloodlight model.
I think you can force the model to show by setting the Low Quality Model to be the same file as the Model, but I'm not sure what to do about the complete blackness on medium and the lack of darkness on low.
Afaik, there is no way to do so, because low shaders simply doesn't support or even include any light effects at all. This includes any (omni)light source as well as emissive textures.
I guess all you can do is a suggestion to turn up the graphic settings if possible.
If it's a singleplayer map, you could ask the player to tell you what graphics settings it's using and adjust lighting accordingly. Make heavy use of fog of war instead of actual lighting for the lower settings. For multiplayer, that won't work, since lighting settings are, unfortunately, global and applied to every player.

You mean like the searchlight model? Have a hidden one as an attachment.

In the worst case you can just have a giant marine that is 0 opacity then if that light still works.

Okay so basicly there's not no way to cast a light in medium or low?
I'm more concerned about medium because the people can't see to play.
@Eldrazor: Go its multiplayer
Then tell them to get a comp not made in the stone age? Or at least warn them to change the graphics setting before play?
