I thought calldown auto destroyed the magazine ammo units to use the
effect?
I've just realized: it depends on the option. Ability - Information+ -> descending list at bottom.
So, now I have the last issue to solve - barracks can callback from other barracks magazines. Like Ghost who doesn't care what academy his nuke comes from.
Well, now Use Magazine effect just does nothing. Even If I put it to the Calldown Effect field of Arm Magazine ability. Seems like it doesn't interatcs with the magazine. How carrier links his use magazine effect with his angar to release interceptors after using Use Magazine effect?
The use magazine releases ammo units from the magazine of the unit targeted. The carrier use magazine targets the caster (self) and releases the ammo units at the caster. If launch type of the arm magazine ability is set to target the interceptors are released at the weapon scope.

I've experimented a little and realized that Use Magazine effect releases ammo from carrier's magazine if only it's weapon's attack effect and magazine's holder has enemy unit in range. I tried some ways but wasn't able to retrieve a single interceptor from the carrier without enemy unit's help.
So seems like I can't use Use Magazine effect when I peacefully building turrets.
Sry I'm not sure I understand the exact meaning of your last question (because of my bad English).
I mean I can't use Use Magazine effect becasuse it doesn't work without enemy units to attack. And I can't use Calldown effect because I don't know how to adress unit's magazine instead of random magazine. And I can't even remove a unit from a magazine through a trigger because there no appropriate function to adress magazine's units.
So seems like I have to change magazine approach to something else. I just asked a wuesyion in another thread.
I meant maybe you could use a dummy effect to target a point and use the scope for that to target the Use Magazine effect. Else use an issue order effect to issue the weapon to attack a point via the Attack ability.
I'm not actually familiar with these things like dummy effect, scope and issue order, but seems like I've got your idea: to force barracks to attack and it will turn out its magazine.
Now I'm trying to learn these things you mentioned consecutively. And first I've tried to do is to force a carrier to attack friendly unit via Issue Order effect. It worked well.
Then I put a weapon into Combat - Weapon+ barracks field and have tried to force barracks to attack a friendly units exactly the same way that succeded with the carrier. But barracks don't attack like carrier does. Same weapon, same ability, same effect. But no reaction. So now I'm curious about how to force barracks to attack?
Oh, finally! It works when barracks has attack ability. Ammo unit has appeared outside of the barracks.
Now I think about following sequence of actions:
1. Create a false unit.
2. Tell barracks to attack this unit.
3. Kill the unit (ammo unit will die too, so it will decrease the magazine counter).
4. Build an actual turret.
So, there is my next question: how to attack a unit that wasn't exist at the moment I click the ability? Is there any kind of effect like "attack every friendly unit around the caster"?
I've realized that all that magazine stuff is clearly combat thing, so it's pretty cumbersome approach I've choosen to implement my simple unit count mechanism. So I'll use that vulture' spider bomb thing.
Thank you, DrSuperEvil for your assistance, I realy appreciate it. Your tutorial articles were useful too btw.
Use calldown can take ammo from any magazine. Dont know exactly how it determines which magazine is depleted first.

Alright, then I'm going to try to use the carrier's Use Magazine function. Carriers always use their own magazine obviously.
And I advise changing the Ability - Launch Type to release at target

Does the barracks have the attack ability?

Cant you just get the weapon to target a point?

Yes, I can, but magazine units don't come out in this case. Seems like they realy need a unit to attack ;/
Now I'll try to concieve what are those dummy effect and sope about.
Speaking of dummy cant you create an invisible dummy unit that is then attacked?
It is scope that is basicly where the weapon is aiming at.
