Hello everyone, so what I'm trying to do is a unit that when it walks, leaves behind a trail of creep. But since I'm following an outdated tutorial it's pretty hard for me to do this, since lots of things have changed. Without triggers, how on the data would I do it? Thanks!
Hmm, oddly the game crashes when the unit that I used spawns. I used "Overlord Creep Source Grown" and "Overlord Creep Source Start", are there other footprints that I can use? Because I need a source that can grow, and this is the only one that I found. Help please!
When looking for help, you'll only get as much help as you help others understand the problem. If you can't describe exactly what you need, people who want to help will get frustrated and may avoid helping you in the future.
Try adding the behavior CreepGen5 to a unit, perhaps it's closer to what you want.
Just add a creep gen behaviour to the unit and set the footprints to whatever you need. If you have a moving unit then you need to adjust the grow rate accordingly to the move speed since the creep can only appear at a rate proportional to the movement.

For reference, see the Behavior type Creep Source. Simply give a unit some creep source behavior.
@JademusSreg: Go
That or look at how the infestor leaves the green slim behind too as an example.
Did not do the research, hob; the slime trail is spawned by the Infestor model asset, not data, and has nothing to do with creep.
