is it possible to somehow attach a model to a unit that ignores the unit facing? I tried a couple of attachment points, like origin, center etc but all of them make the attached model rotate with the unit.
For a skybox for example you would want to attach the skybox model to the unit, but it needs to ignore the unit facing.
You can try to use a new site operation of type Attachment with the Hold Rotation flag set to true. I used this successfully on origin for non-rotating aura attachments, however, I am not sure, how it will work for attachment points, which move with animations of the model.
The SOp (Forward Vector) if you put values into the Actor - Forward field is not local. Also under the Model type actor used the Hosting - Host Site Operations - Hold Rotation field flag.

So, is this possible somehow?
@Mille25: Go
pretty sure you can set the actor for the dynamic skybox not to rotate with it's parent actor in the data of the actor.
Or you can just create a unit with this actor and move it around with triggers

Okay, so would there be any way to use this site ops with triggers?
I want to attach the actor by script.
Give the attached actor the SOp (Forward Vector) and hosted on the desired model/alias, then just create it by triggers.
