I need to find a way, via the data editor only, to make a validator that compares a players current supply to their current supply cap (supply as in supply depots, overlords, or pylons provide) I am unable to find any validator options that refer to supply, as supply, food, unit cap, or otherwise. Can anybody help me?
Generally Data is faster, and I am making a melee type mod. I know it is easy to do it via triggers, But I want to try to do it via data first, if possible, and learn more about the data editor.
You can validate the supply generated/used by an individual unit using the Unit Compare Field validator. Presuming you only have 1-2 unit types that create supply you could use a requirement to count them all and then use a Player Requirement validator.

@Ranakastrasz:
SOLVED:
Add a new Validator of type - 'Player food available' Then adjust the operator and value to whatever you wish. I am using this for an ability affect target to train units via drops.

Any specific reason you MUST use data-only for this? Could you not use a trigger to check this and apply/remove a behavior to validate against?
Of course, it could be possible to do it data-only. I'll check it out later.

Fair point :)
I should have time to open up the data editor later tonight, so I'll check this out if you haven't gotten an answer by then.

Makes sense, however, I am planning to do something in the case that supply exceeds supply capacity, So i need to compare those two numbers.
In that case is probably easier to do via triggers and apply/remove a buff that a Unit Compare Behavior Count validator uses.

I will do that. I was planning to do that if I was unable to find any data-only method. Thanks however.
Actually, Apparently blizzard mods do not include triggers, which means I cannot use any...
Try asking SoulCarveRR, he is good with triggers.
