The Turret on the Mothership Core is preventing me from adding basically a copy of the Medics heal ability to it. It works, but it has the infamous "Cannot turn toward target" error most of the time. Fixing this for Weapons is rather easy, but how do you fix this for abilities?
I would check again.
Having a turret doesn't do anything, only the unit having the Turnable flag unchecked causes an issue, because it's not allowed to turn in order to meet the Arc requirement.
That should be fixed by setting the ability's arc to 360 because otherwise terran scans and other abilities that are on units with Turnable unchecked simply would not work.
Please don't tell me the Arc field still defaults to 0 if you enter 360? This used to be a bug and Blizzard claims to have fixed it, in case it's still there here's a workaround:
Enter 360 in any non-Arc number field, copy the value (Ctrl+C) and paste it into the Arc field (Ctrl+V). In the case of Buffs deactivate the "group similar fields" option to access the offending field directly. Do NOT load the Arc field and hit OK after doing this, it will reset to 0 again, this includes the standard Modification+ window for all fields within.

You know abilities have an Arc property too, just set it to 360.
That doesn't seem to fix it, I changed ability arc to 360 and it still says that.
It was already set to 0 anyway.

The Arc is still at 360 and the Turnable Flag is apparently off on the Mothership Core. I turned it on and that fixed it. Thanks for the help. =)
Edit: Also, would editing the Arc value in XML also be viable?
