In my map Stranded on Krydon Renewed I am trying to use allot of models. The only problem is there is a stupid glitch where on my map half of the models do not 'link' with their textures. This is not anything with the models i download they just become a light shade of blue, I think it is just something to with my map. Because of this 'glitch' I need to figure out how to 'link' the models to the textures.
Does anyone know how to do this?
EDIT: I am looking for a way to swap/replace the texture other than in the import module
Stranded on Krydon Renewed- A renewed version of Stranded on Krydon that is being constantly updated, has improved visuals, is more friendly to new players, lots more fun tweaks and much more planned to come.
Pardon me, if my suggestions are very basic; but its usually the simple stuff that slips our minds. So, have you looked into:
1. if the texture file name matches exactly with the texture name used by the model.
2. test using a swap by id 'using the same' texture name you need.
3. overwrite the original texture by re-importing the new texture 'while using the same texture name'
4. verify the file path to the textures is correct default
5. check for any typos in the texture name and slot fields during the texture id swaps and tests
beyond that, the only way i know to link a texture is to either overwrite the original texture name by importing, or export and modify the texture name in a modelling program.

All models use texture files. The texture files must exist within your mod/map file or must already exist as part of a default blizzard mod. If they are not present, you get the blue color.
The texture files must also be named exactly as specified by your model.
It seems like you are missing the texture files or your files are not named the way the models need them to be.
Well the model comes with the texture files and I am positive the textures have they right name. I know this because:
Because the names look the same
because AV made some of them
because he also made a video of him importing one
because they worked on a previous (oldest) version of my map
Does anyone know how to replace the textures?

Swapping by id is very useful and opens a new world of fun. Its not that hard once you get the hang of it. Also, it will very likely lead you to the root cause of your texture problem once you see how textures and models interact.
If you are going to try this, then I recommend reading the first 4 pages of the thread, then read the thread in reverse order, starting from the last page. Alot of the information and bugs was found/fixed over a long time span. So information from pages 5-xx is out of date (no longer relevent).
With that said, it can be very frustrating the first few times you try it. Also, that thread is incredibly long. Put some time aside one day to dive into it at a comfortable pace. If you rush, you will be very frustrated.
I recommend swapping a texture on a normal working model, to understand the process before using this method on your glitching models.

Import the texture files first and save the map before closing it. Open the editor and map again and then import your models.

that clears the name checking, try to swap the texture using select by id method is what i would try next.

How do I do the swap by id method?
