Well Ive attempted to make Colossus draw pretty shapes, but I come to find out that the Site Mover used to move the beam only takes into the Start and end of the Search areas. So you cant draw any curves, which makes me sad.
Oh, you can. Its just a ton of work. You could use a persistent with a huge number of circle-shaped offsets. Or you can attack the beam to a missile and make the missile move in a circle.
The persistent is in a circle, I was just saying the Site Mover actor doesnt go on a circle based on the persistent. It only goes to the first and last offset in the persistent.
2. The beam model (for some strange reason the archeon beam turns like a truck while the soulsteal3 is awesome turning)
3. The timing of the persistant effect (too short you get a straight line or rather bad curve instead of a circle while too slow and you just get a beam that starts and stops at each point)
4. The spacing between the persistant effect (too small and it doesnt turn well so try to have >0.25 distance between points)
I made a spell where 5 beams circle around the target unit 5 times and have the protoss building fire medium as an impact effect with soulsteal3 beam. It looks quite nice

I gave up on the "uber" challenges. I've started making another Uber Unit, one that has a morph in it with a bunch of attachments that remain in the Base unit, the morphing unit/animation, and the Secondary unit. It's a ton of work and I probably won't have it done by this thursday(Nevjmac's friday) but I will post it when I am complete, probably within 2 weeks(maybe sooner depending on how busy I may possibly become. Things aren't set in stone yet, we shall see).
Also, the Base and Secondary unit have "modes" that can be enabled/disabled, basically morphing and modifying weapon(s) without actually using a Base 2 or Secondary 2 units. Thinking about giving the ability to morph from Base or Base Super to Secondary, and ability to morph from Secondary or Secondary Super to Base (modify the attachments to morph in a specific way/order based on if in Super Mode or Regular mode for that specific "morph". This is extra work, but I might not need to go so far, we shall see!
Cool. Progress on my morph... oh god! lol. Extra work for me. The base unit and the morph animation's attachment points are SLIGHTLY off. So when I am morphing, the attachment noticably moves just a little... very annoying. Couldn't figure it out until I went and compared the morph and base unit in the previewer and noticed that... that means I have to create EXTRA attachments and extra offsets for the morphs. :| hehehe.
Nice Kueken, I especially like Uber Stalker. Not quite what I had envisioned but I think it's sufficiently Uber.
And it's a nice take on the 'Rainbow Archon' spinning lazer beams.

The lazers were a pain -.- I finally managed to get the mover sites to work for beam actors, but they overwrite each other, when started multiple times via persistent or buff. For some odd reason casting the same ability multiple times does not suffer from this issue, I have no idea, why. Anyway, this left me the choices of either re-issuing an ability order 8 times, which seemed kinda hacky for me, or duplicate the effects, beams, sites etc 8 times, which I finally did -.-
Yes, I am happy, too, everything works and I am once again able to terrorize the forums ;)
Since normal siege tanks are boring, I stacked siege tanks in siege mode. I also wanted them to acquire individual targets, however I did not get this to work without losing the possibility to choose a specific target.
I hope 3 tanks are uber enough, for 5 just c&p&relink&rescale :P
€ for some reason, the video on youtube is only 480p, it seems. Maybe still processing? (youtube says 100%, though)
€€ ah, finally :D After re-uploading it works. Also changed the animations slightly.
Nice Siege Stack! Pretty cool how they all fire independently.
On a side note, I'm just going to post a progress video on my Uber unit that morphs... none other than a siege breaker! It's alot more work than I had originally planned, aswell. Attachment points on the TankMercenary, SiegeTankMercenary, and SiegeTankMercenaryMorph actors are slightly off... like, Head attachment on SiegeTank and SiegeTankMorph are off... one is higher and further back, so I have to take that into account otherwise the attachments will "slide" and "pop" into position after the morphs are complete... it looks funny, and you can clearly see this happening in the video with the Cockpit and Antenna.
All I've completed(100%) on this Uber are in relation to the Cannon while in Tank, Siege, and Morph Mode(to siege and to tank).
For the cannon alone, I need 6 actors. That's not really that bad really, considering 4 are Model Additions and 2 are Offsets, but what really is a pain is the Events for the 4 Model Additions! Keeping track of what does what and when and how it should start and which unit and which ability is starting or finishing is quite hard to keep track of.
Now that the cannon is working as intended(well, in respect to Morphing - haven't added in the "super cannon morph" ability in tank mode yet), I think it will be much easier and much quicker to complete the rest.
Heres a simple unbeatable photon cannon, nothing to fancy but still quite the uber

Super Psi Storm-
Now well.. the High Templar wasn't Super enough and died.. but his Psi Storms will live on forever!
Psi Storm now spawns 4 storms that will randomly go in a new random direction in a circle after it is done doing damage in its area.
