Im making a map where people can get heroes. I want to give some of the heroes abilities that will boost morale of other units. For example certain heroes will give range, other will give armor and others will give damage etc. to the other units. But im wondering how to approach this.
In my map the Collosus is a hero, and when its created, its suppose to give everything else +0.5 range. However when it does, this buff should be removed again. Does anyone know how i can make this? Thanks.
Use a mothership cloak like aura that is applied by a leveled Behavior ability.
In short each level is a buff that emitts a periodic search that applies the second buff to all units within the radius. The second buff lasts just longer than the period of the first.

create new buff behavior, Set period to .1 and set the periodic effect to a search area.
Then attach an apply behavior to the search area
Then create a new buff with duration 1.2 and set your modifications, Place the first buff on your hero.
You may have to make a requirement if you want it to be a learned ability.

That's the basic concept on how I do my auras. Works like magic.

If you mean every unit then, you can also do this through triggers -
"Colossus is created: Condition: Your Colossus - Give all your units the behavior"
"Colossus is killed or Colossus is removed (however you wish): Condition: Your Colossus died/removed - remove all behaviors"
Haven't tested this specifically, but it should work.

You don't even need to set it to .1 leaving it blank works in the same way for me.
I dont understand why it should be so complicated. But i got enough information to try and make the ability, so thanks alot:)
