Say I have damage effect with 10 damage that deals +1 damage to armored, -2 to psionic and +3 to massive.
Target unit is armored, psionic and massive.
How to calculate the damage?
Just add all togheter (10+1-2+3)? or take the best value (10+3)?
Why don't you just try it? Make a trigger that uses the damage effect on your test unit and see how much damage it took.
My guess would be that it sums up all bonuses. so it's 10 +1 -2 +3 = 12
it all sums up
this makes the ingame tooltip a bit misleading, because it is going to say
armored: 11 dmg
psi 8 dmg
massive 13 dmg
There is a field under the damage effect called Effect - Total, look at that, it is pretty self explanatory.
Hint, set it to combine.
