I pulled some WoW custom models from the other forum on the site, and they are in the import editor but how do I use them? Do I have to create them in the data editor?
Do all of the files have to be in the root folder? They all are, but its completely cluttered up (since I got a lot of them from that forum). Please help?
To make a unit use that model/animation, You need to go to the "Model" tab, Find the unit you want to have use that model, and then when you find it, Under its sub-tab "Model -File", you can give it the new imported model.

How do I define the model? Is there a specific format?
The format is .m3. All the WoW models on this site are already defined/in the correct format. So you wont have to worry about that;p.
You just need to replace a unit`s animation with that. Or you can create a new unit and do the same.
And like I mentioned in the above post, the unit`s animation "definition" is located in the "Model" Tab in the Data editor.
If you need further help or would like pictures of the process, let me know.
Thanks. I actually need a picture process. This is the first map I've ever done. I'll throw down some pictures myself of what I'm thinking and what I'm stumped on I guess.
So I created a model with nearly default setting. I don't know what that stuff does, so I just named it Abomination.

And now I'm stuck. How do I associate the abomination import to this model? The only way I can think of are these settings...

What to I input in that field?
(P.S. how to I insert pictures on this forum? I'm using the IMG code for tinypic.com but it didn't work first time around)

I don't know if it will work that way, but judging by the settings on a model I just modified (SCV, in this case) You might need your unit's model to be set to 'Model Type - Generic' and 'Based On - Unit'. You also need to set the model you made's model to your imported .M3 model (confusing in writing, I know, but I'm trying to explain this as best as I can).
You also need an actor assigned to your unit, and then have your model assigned to the Actor.
Hope this helps a bit more, but as I don't have a lot of time atm, this is the best I can do for now.
You need to make an actor. I suggest duplicating a unit actor that behaves similarly (like another melee unit, ultralisk for example). Then, change the actor''s "model" field to use your model. Then, at the very top of the actor's field list, there should be a field called "unit." Change it from Ultralisk to your unit, and the actor's events should automatically adjust.

Tried. Didn't work. Someone give me a step by step. Maybe I didn't save the files in the correct location. Maybe I'm just not doing it right. All the tutorials are from the BETA, none of which are relavent because things changed too much.

For the sake of help, I want to make an abomination (unit from Warcraft) shown in the picture. http://i56.tinypic.com/24pykr7.png
Step 1: Add Object in Unit Tab http://i55.tinypic.com/28mmzj5.png
Step 2?: Object Properties, confused about this window in general. This is what I did. http://i52.tinypic.com/21mvl1d.png
Step 3?: After I create, I come to this screen and it doesn't have a model. http://i56.tinypic.com/vpyhsg.png
So I created a model with nearly default setting. I don't know what that stuff does, so I just named it Abomination. http://i52.tinypic.com/11azehc.png

Will definitely need more info... I'm a noob at this! Trying to make custom units and buildings, etc. Can anyone help?
