I can think of some complex trigger methods to accomplish this, but I was wondering if anyone knew how to accomplish this with only data?
I'd like it to be the case that you can cast a spell to create a minion (such as raise dead), and you can only have a set number at a time, and they follow you. Creating a new one should remove an existing one if you've met the limit.
@Arkless:
you can make any unit in the game an escort under that ability. It can easily be done through data by duplicating the brood escort ablities (check all of the behaviors,effects and actors... then edit them accordingly. Its pretty simple. You also have to make a requirement to limit the amount of underlings that can trail the unit with that ability.

Brood Lord suggestion: I don't think that's the same. The wander behavior just makes the unit stay where it was spawned. It doesn't appear to follow the caster.

@Vexal:
NOT 100% sure it works, but i'd try to use the broodlords escort ability ang give those escorts an attack. Try it if you get no other reply :D

Set to "External" and "Recall".
Unit will follow very close to the caster. Irritatingly so. Would not recommend the above unless the former isn't an issue.

I did a search for minion, and only 4 posts came up... the above is one of them.
@BorgDragon: Go
Thanks, I'll do that.
By the way, I did try searching, but I searched 'hero pet' and the results weren't helpful.
