I've been fiddling around with the data editor and what I'v done is taken tycus model and changed it to wapig, and now there is no death animation, it just instantly disappears. What have I done wrong
You have to add the animation effect, I to noticed this while making a custom carrier hero unit.
You have to check the Effect death animation in the data editor on the unit. If you have not changed that its probably something like Warpigdeath2 or Warpighdeathcopy
That one you have to change into the original one, you right click and choose modify value. You should get a dropdown list of animations.
Now I'm asuming that a normal marine unit have several death animations sence you can get killed by fire and all kinds of things... so you might have to add several animations and fix some setings on them or something...
I'm still quite new to the editor, this Hero carrier (The Gantrithor) I'm making is the first thing im doing in the editor... but I hope this was somewhat helpfull.
