I have several missiles that use common ammo unit. How to color ammo unit depending on which ability launched it? (Like ability1 - tint missile to red, ability2- tint missile to blue)?
Not using a common ammo unit would be the "proper" solution...
Otherwise you need some kind of identifier that fires after the missile is created. Actor events have some extra options for missile launches, but I don't know if the Effect.LM.Launch event fires before or after the missile unit is created. In the worst case you can use the Launch Effect field on the Launch Missile effect to apply unique Buff behaviors for each color, and tint on Behavior.ColorX.On on the missile itself.
the launch effect is able to apply an effect on the missile (start effect), just use a dummy effect there for every colour. now go to actors, set event = effectGreen -> set tintcolour green, etc.

Yes, but AFAIK Launch Effect cannot reference missile, and I can't use search for missile.

You can use ValidateCreationEffect term on the missile actor to validate the caster unit. You can make different buffs or some other conditions to match for changing the color of the missile.
