Does anyone know how to make an ability like spell shield in warcraft 3? Basically I want units to be able to prevent being affected by negative abilities such as stuns.
Most people create a behavior that turns on things like the protoss shield. Then attach an actor to display the shield effect. As far as if you want it to take the effect of mana, I haven't thought about it.
Don't think you understand what I'm trying to make here. I'm trying to make it so that some negative behaviors aren't used on a certain unit. So if there is a stun behavior that should be used it is stopped and the unit is not stunned.
You will need to play around with validators. So that only if the targeted unit does not have the spell shield behaviour it is effected, but you will need to add this to all spells you plan on having negated by this.
If the negative effects happen through use of behaviors, you can also create a behavior that disables certain behaviors or classes of behaviors and apply it to the unit (or have it be casted on the unit with an ability)
