So i got this drakken laser beam weapon which i want to convert into an ability . It has an initial damage-final damage effect and also has a initial persistant-final damage effect. Which one of this four effects should i add in the effect value box of the new ability i created since i only can add up one. Does this mean im supposed to create 2 abilities and some how merge them? I also would really like that this ability increase the damage while u use it on the target. Also I want this ability to show the Targeting UI effect that it has when u use it as a weapon. I tried to set this up, and the beam only worked when i added the Final Persistant Effect as the effect value. The problem was that the beam didnt stop when i used it. It just keep shooting after it killed the target. Weird right? Also the targetingUI effect was not showing when i used the beam as an ability. It always shows when i used it as an attacka and not an ability. What might be wrong. I even included the effect where it says Orders >Model under UI. I dont even know if its supposed to be there. Why is this complicated, why cant it work as simple as it does when u set it up as weapon. Thanks.
Use the same effect in the ability as the weapon uses.
Look how the Void Ray does it. The Drakken Laser is pretty much the same.
For question 3 use Buff behaviours to add damage to the unit while channeling.
Beams are well known for not duping correctly. Look for the field under the Beam (Simple) actor with a 2 in the wrong place.
UI never shows ability damage even if you use a dummy weapon for the UI. Although adding a weapon with a leviathan tentacle damage like UI addition might work.
The orders model is the model used when clicking the target to use the ability.
