I'm looking to take an arbitrary number of zerglings and kill them while spawning a new unit.
As the merge ability only works with pairs of units,
I've opted to look for another solution but I'm having trouble implementing the logic:
Search area for 4 zerglings (including the caster)
If there are 4 zerglings:
Kill each zergling
Spawn 1 Hydralisk at center of initial search (or random area within a given range)
So far I can't get the second set of effects to trigger on the condition that the search successfully finds 4 zerglings.
I tried putting a set effect into the initial search but i would end up with 4 Hyrdalisks
How can I implement this ability?
And what would be the best way to implement it to be used simultaneously by a massive swarm of zerglings?
The problem I've run into with using a validator is that it will use different zerglings for the validation search and the kill search. And in large groups and rapid activation it will produce more hydralisks than it should as zerglings are killed right after a validation sweep and before the that activation's kill sweep.

Can't you just run a enumerate area validator on the ability.
I already created a merge simulation system which you can find under my data assets. It is highly robust so even mad dog clicking does not mess it up.
