Im searching for an option to set a spell to only work if a unit of a specific type is alive / not alive. As i prefer to do thinks like this in the data editor, i dont want to create a trigger. Is there a way via validators to check living units of a type?
You can send out a map sized search area to scan for the unit type (possibly combined with a "is unit" validator) as the initiating step of your ability.
If the search doesn't find the unit, don't continue the spell.
I think you want a requirement for this. Just like the "build thor" button on the factory has a "has at least 1 amory unit," you want the same type of thing

Hey guys...
thanks for your answers!
Bilxor you where exactly right. After some more tries with validators i used a custom requirement. Thanks again! :-)
