I'm trying to attach a turret to the top of a building. I want said turret to spin when idle and face the target when firing, just like the missile turret. It works.. sort of:
When the building is constructed via SCV, the turret doesnt spin idly or to face a target.
However, if I lift the building then land it, it starts spinning fine. Additionally, if I create the building via trigger on the ground, it also works correctly. Something about being built is screwing it up then I've deduced, but what? The only actor message I thought I needed in the events of the Turret actor are:
Turret Enable.Turret Name
Create
I tried adding a validator to the actor to check to see if construction was complete, nothing. I can't get the turret to start spinning any other way. Thanks for any help.
I have only attached turrets to actors via a custom created bone model and actor and not had any trouble. if you like i can get you the turret model and some instruction on using it.

This horribly ugly trigger does the trick based on what I found in the first post... would like a cleaner answer though.

does the structure in question have a Turret bone where there turret is being attached too?
no the structure does not. It's attached to the hardpoint + vertical offset to put it right at the top middle point of the structure
