For now I have 80 abilities and about 350-400 ability commands in my map. And I've noticed a strange thing: some of the ability commands start to disappear (from command card, in game) without any reason. They used to be seen and work, but they just disapper as long as I'm adding more abilities. Any comments?
And there is another question: is it possible that more ability commands cause some UI lags? I have 100 fps, but it feels like there is like 1/2 sec between the moment I click a train unit button and the moment the unit appear in the training progress queue.
if its lag its probably do to how many units or calculations that are being processed at the same time. if your spawning over 1000 units at the same time then you get get LAG from hell, lol. same goes for if all the abilities occure at the same time you will get also lag. 50 infestors spawning 200 infested terrans or something like that, but if they are all performed at seperate times there should be no problem. lag is just a form of computer calculations, to much and it freeks out, lol, i know one time i had a trigger that was when 1 unit enters area then spawn 1 enemy unit, well what i messed up was it spawed 1 unit alright but for ever millisecond of game play, WTF!!! in 3 seconds i had 1000 units or some crap like that, hahaha. have fun.
Do you mean that they disappear in-game, such that during a single game an ability is at one time available and at another time not? Or they disappear between games after saving a map in the editor? I ask because in my experience, it's very common for an ability command to be cleared on the command card after editing a command card. You select the command, press OK, and it looks all fine, but after saving the editor forgets which command you selected, and you have to go back and re-select it.

I had all the abilities perfectly worked, I've tested them and worgot about them, working on other abilities. And They used to work in every game. But in a latest tests I realized, that some of them are absent in game. Just an empy place on command card between other abilities. I've checked everything, all the commands were on their places, but the abilities are still missilng. And looks like it's becasue I have too much of them. Gonna remove some and check again.
I have alot of abilities, but one of them, let's call it A, doesn't appear in command card. After I removed some abilities, ability A become visible in command card, but ability B disappeared (I removed some other abilities, not A and not B).
After I removed more abilities, both A and B become visible.
I've tried to remove only requirements or only ability commands, but it didn't help.
So, looks like we can't have too much abilities, it cause some of them to disappear. Looks like a bug.

I just experimented a ilttle.

Was either 32 or 64 the cap. If you are using morphs there is a bug where weapons and abilities of those also count.

Common answer is use trigers to swap the units. Often happens in tower defence maps.
