the "use" field is used to restrain a button until a requirement is met
the "show" field is used to show/ hide a button. this is what we will use.
make a new requirement from scratch, so both fields should be blank
add a node in the "show" field, then change it to a "not" node
add another node branching off of the "not" node, and make it "count upgrade"
modify that node to have the alias: (your upgrade) and state "queued or better"
apply requirement to the upgrade.
Observers
observers are enabled by default. go to the map dropdown menu in the top left and then open "map options" find the checkbox for "disable observers" and uncheck it. this will re-enable observers.
What do I do to make them disappear after being researched? How do I enable observers in my map?
you use requirements to remove the buttons of upgrades after they are researched.
observers... never had to do that. I believe its somewhere under map or player properties
I think they got rid of traditional observers. I believe they occupy one of the player slots now, and you set them up through triggers/etc.
@joey101d: Go
Can you be more specific? One sentence isn't going to help a noob like me unfortuantely :/.

Thank you!
Yeah, it was always unchecked, but sometimes, you can't make observers. It's weird.
