Hey not sure if I'm just not looking in to right place but I am unable to figure out how to restore the Queens talons back to pre-patch status. When i am in the editor everything appear to read and be linked correctly
Even when i run a test map from the editor everything works properly, however when i publish to SC2 and load the map in game it is using the most recent balance patch data for a 4 dmg range 5 attack. Any ideas on what i should be doing? All my dependencies are updated I'm just not sure if I'm even looking in the right place.
if you change the stats to what you already see them as, it might work.
your map just loads the dependency, so changing this data will result in the game loading your map's stats rather than the dependency's.

I hope it helps.
Thanks for the reply, I went through and changed all the values to different numbers just to see if it would work but unfortunately it is still going back to 4 dmg at 5 range after i publish. Again what is interesting is that it all looks correct in the editor and in the test map.
@DrSuperEvil: Go That would have a whole lot of other consequences he may not want for his map. The best is to create a new weapon and damage effect based on the original ones and give them to the Queen.
Blizzard said clearly these balance changes wouldn't need a patch. It seems they don't take all consequences into consideration because this method brings some dependency issues.
Ok so I duplicated everything (weapon, persistant and damage effects, actors, models, and sounds)
And the attack works perfect in editor test.
When I publish it it also works perfect with the right damage and everything... Only 1 catch.
The animation is the needle spine annimation and not the talons animation
(even tho in the editor test game it had the correct talon animation)
It still does 2 hits like talons and does 2 sound effects like talons.
Only the animation is wrong.
When I look at models in editor... I can't find the animation for talons at all.
Did blizzard remove/replace it???
The actor it calls is "queenattack" which actually references hydralisk needle spines...
@JosinJJ: Go I believe talons use missile animations so you wont see them in the previewer like you see them in game. Just check the actors for eveything that links to the standard effects and chenge them to the new ones.

[Unit] Hero - Queenfestor <Weapons - Weapon> -> [Weapon] Queen - Talons (Ground Attack) <Effect> -> [Effect] Queen - Talons (Create Persistent) <Period Effects> -> [Effect] Queen - Talons (Damage)

Just remove the Libery Multi mod.

I'm having the same problem with my Queen boss in NOTD. Trying to re-create a whole new attack set now.
I'm confused. i can't remember a patch yesterday. how did they apply the change? did they already like the login screen says?
@b0ne123:
My thoughts exactly.Maybe its a 'live patch" which loads when the map loads... donno.
Maybe this also has something to do with that spawn issue i told you about in IW...today
no. that spawn issue was because i didn't consider something while limiting patrol spawn
