I'm trying to create an ability that creates a wall of rocks in front of the caster. I want to use the model of the typhon rocks but I don't want to use the big variations. There are 22 variations for the TyphonRock.m3 and I want to stop 5 of those from appearing. I put there variation numbers in and changed the probability numbers for them but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Even the numbers your allowed to but into the Variation - Probability field seem odd. I would expect probability to deal with fractions but your only allowed to input whole numbers. Any one know what I'm supposed to do here?
TyphonRock.m3 doesn't have 22 variations, there are 22 distinct files named TyphonRock_00.m3 etc. In the data editor, the model object referencing TyphonRock.m3 has the Variation Count field set to 22.
Just create a new model in data editor, have it reference the specific model you want ( TyphonRock_18.m3 or whatever ), variation count left at 1.
I've been trying to use the variations+ fields and they don't seem to do anything. I'm going to try to revive this thread because I've searched everywhere and haven't found anything about it. I'm having the same problem as arcticfedaykin - I want some of the variations to appear, but not all of them.

I'm trying to get 17 variations on my model. Specifically all the TyphonRock.m3 variation except _00, _02, _11, _13, and _20.
Ah sorry, I read the first post too fast!
Leave the number fields to -1. Create 22 variations, set the probability to 0 for the undesired variations, otherwise 1.

Is this what you mean? Cause it is still not working right.

This thread I linked is on the first page of the Data forum, right at the bottom, which is solved.
In short use the Variations - Probability field.
