I encounter a but with every texts. Instead of texts, the game displays the path of the texts in the map file ("param/-number-/-folder-/-unit-name-/" something like that). It had already done that when I had worked offline few days ago.
The editor launched without launching the patcher, no idea why. As I had already encountered this bug, I have closed the editor before to open the map, launched manually the patcher, then opened the editor from the launcher. But it seems that it has add this bug anyways, as I see it when I test locally.
Last time I had not much changes from the previous save, but this time, it would really bother me to take the previous save. I don't know if it happens too for the online map if I release it.
But now I have the editor in french. Is there a way to keep the editor in english and the game in french ?
Already hard to find info in english, if I search in french, I won't find anything.

Yes, you can do that... just set editor settings at : File -> Preferences -> general -> Locale in the editor.
BUT BUT BUT: WARNING: if you do that then you will need to (mostly manually) keep the Locale string files in sync, and manually translate the English to french, etc. (or run with "map text' (your text) in english ... the 'game text" (blizzard stuff) would still be french.
It seems quite buggy (or I don't understand how it works, and it should not change randomly like that), because after having restarted the editor (because I was unable to publish my map, my map had no name), it is back in english and I have no more troubles.
Keep track of the locales declared in your map. Make sure to delete locales that are unintended or which are not maintained. If your locale is missing from a map you play it will use the text from another locale inside the map, which can possibly be the only locale the map contains. If a locale is declared but incomplete it will show the text reference paths for every text entry which is missing from that locale.
This used to be a huge problem with English since for some unknown reason they decided that US and UK were different locales despite being identical as far as what text they contained (colour was still color in UK). If a US map was edited by a UK user or a UK map by a US user and they forgot to change to the correct locale then an unintended and unmaintained locale would be inserted into the map resulting in practically all added text being missing when played with the locale of the person who modified it. Fortunately this has been fixed now since they removed the English (UK) locale so there is only one English locale to maintain.
Yes I have deleted the french locale and it seems ok now. I understand better, as I already had empty tooltips and it indicated the path instead of nothing.
Actually when I launch the editor from the launcher it sets it in french, else in english. But no more troubles with the french locale deleted.

Is it a known bug, and how can I fix that ?
Fixed it as said in this topic http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/development/editor-bugs-and-feedback/54284-text-bugs/

But thanks, next time, I will know what to do =)

save your maps as sc2componenets and go to the enus.sc2data, frFR.sc2data and such and review the objectstrings and gamestrings txt files
