Hey guys,
i have an effect which creates an actor with the "FeedbackImpact"-Model. So basicly i create the Akteur, when the effect is started and then use an animation bracket which calls the Birth, Stand, Death-Animation. Everything working fine so far.
But i want the animation to be played backwards. The anim-Bracket-Thingie has Time Variant field, but this is set to -1 by default, so this won't be the trick i guess. Any other ideas?
Below that time variant field, there is another field (don't remember the name) which is set to "Automatic" be default. "Automatic" means to ignore the time variant field completely. Change it. Tell me the results also 'cuz I'll do the same
Afaik the time variant for an animation bracked only has influence on the opening. So if you did not select an opening or the model does not have the animation, it has no effect. Try AnimationPlay instead of AnimationBrackedStart or set the animation speed in a seperate actor message.
Tried both. Setting the Animation speed didn't work, it just changed nothing. When using AnimationPlay the actor seems to be lost, so i think i'm doing something wrong. Here is what i have:
Coudl be your model as well, some models are not influenced by animation speed changes. Try swapping it for a marine or something and try, if the animation speed changes.
you cannot play an animation backwards. this has been attempted before on mapster forums. there is an old post out there where someone managed to do a single animation backwards and the method was RIDICULOUS and OBSCENE amount of work. There is even a video of it in the post.
now if you still need help with the actor in any other regards, I can try to help.

-1 is normally just indicating that the value should be default, as you say, so what about setting it to -1.001?
Nice icea, but sadly not working. Well, seems like the whole field isn't working, tried some random numbers from -10 to 10, nothing changed.

Doesn't chance anything.

ActorCration.PsionicBlastImpact
- AnimPlay BSD(the name-thingie) Stand Non-Looping 0 0 -1 AsTimeScale
Also tried changing the numbers to -1 -1 -1.0001. Didn't work, too.

EDIT: here is the post by Skoite that did it. http://forums.sc2mapster.com/development/galaxy-scripting-and-trigger-lib/8357-animation-reverse-animation/
Sad story.
Everything else works fine, so thank you, but no need:)
