I can not for the life of me figure out how to change a units supply amount. I used to think it could easily be done through upgrades/abilities, but I cannot seem to find a specific units supplied amount. I also tried to simply add supplies through triggers, but there's no such thing as "modify player property supplies made" there's only "supply limit" which doesn't have the desired effect.
At the moment I have 1 unit which has a base supply of 10, how would I go about upgrading/changing this units supply by clicking a button in the command card?
I can't add anymore units to the map to increase the supply either.
Ideas? Hints?
I'm baffled that something this simple (at least it should be) has put me in such a headlock xD
I'm still stuck on this it's simple: I want to give unit A +1 supply by upgrading the supplied amount with a button in the command card. In game of course. :)
Go to "Units", pick your unit. On the right go down to "Stats - Supplies"
A "-1" means this unit uses up 1 supply while on the field, a positive 1 would mean it gives back one supply.
If you want this to be an ability I beleive what you'll need to do is this:
Go to "Behaviors", Create new of the type "buff" (call it whatever you like).
On the right side of your new behavior go to "Behavior - Modification +"
On the top of the new window click on "Unit"
Scroll down a bit to "Supplies"
Set this how you want it
Hit "OK"
They may be some fine tuning involved depending on whether you want the buff to be temporary or permanant, instant or not, etc, but this should cover what you asked for.
Now just link that behavior up to an ability and it should work.
Thanks mate, now I am able to upgrade my supply once, but just once... Even though I've given the ability which applies the behavior more charges than 1, the moment I click my button it adds 1 supply (which it should) but then the button disappears. Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong?
I changed the duration to -1, the max stacks to 50 and everything else is standard and nothing looks like what I'm looking for (lol).
I even tried adding more buttons to check if they'd stay, but they all disappear once I use one of them.
Hope you or someone else can help me out, again...
"Charges" would refer to if you had like a grenade pickup that you could use X amount of times.... Like if the pick-up item had 4 charges, you could use it 4 times (provided it uses 1 charge each time). So if your using charges it should be something like this:
Count (Max) : 4 (if you want it to have 4 uses)
Count (Start) : 4 (you begin with all 4, you don't need to "pick-up" more)
Count (use) : 1 (it uses 1 charge per use)
If you want it to be infinate uses just don't use this at all, leave it blank.
I know how charges work, infact I've used them for the majority of abilities in my map :) But this behavior thing is really bothering me, my button still disappears after I use 1 charge, even though it should have 50 :)
My ability should just add +1 supply limit every time it's used and then reduce the charge by -1, making it impossible to use the ability more than 50 times.

thx in advance.
Are you wanting the supply of the unit to be able to be changed in game? not in the editor?

I don't think you need a duration at all...

Still haven't figured this one out, bothering me to bits now :(
Did you start with a new behavior, or copy and modify an existing one? It might be that the way the behavior is set up, it can only apply once.

Sorry for the slow response, had a lot of crap to take care of today :)
I made a new behavior, it looks like this:
Still haven't gotten this to work, any help is much appreciated!
