Seems a simple enough question, but I've not seen much online & a search of this forum didn't yield anything. So... what (if anything) can I do to design a weapon that bypasses shields? My aim is to have energy weapons that affect units' shields whilst physical weapons go right through, but being new to SC2 modding I've yet to find what I'm looking for, so any help would be appreciated :) .
I'm bumping this thread because I have the exact same question. However, I can't get it to work even though I added the "No Absorb Shields" flag. I know the damage effect works, because I can change the damage just fine, but it still won't bypass the shields. What am I missing?
I figured out the problem. My weapon had the correct damage display effect but the wrong effect... Jesus there's a lot of stuff to keep track of in this editor!

You sure it is the only damage affect being applied?
