I made an ability that attacks in a cone of effect, but the visuals aren't working out. I used the Hellion Attack Beam model and I want it to cover the area of the cone. Right now, it is going out of the marine's rifle. I made a Create Persistent effect with the desired endpoints, but I don't know how to implement it. I don't even know if I need any of that. The ability is based on OneTwo's shotgun weapon.
Just to clarify, it's only a problem with the direction, size, and shape of the visual, not the actual ability. I have attached the map.
You would need several flame beams to make a cone because increasing the beam width would make the whole thing wider. The hellion does it by having a Site actor that the Beam (Simple) has it's reference for impact set to. The site then follows the persistent effect using SOps and it's own events in a manner similar to the lurker attack

Well, yea, I assumed as much, but I didn't know how to link the Create Persistent with the actors and beam. I set a bunch of offsets in the persistent so that it made a sector, though. I just can't get the flames to launch from the source to those offsets. It currently launches in the direction that the marine's gun is facing.
If you could direct me to a tutorial, that would be equally as helpful (as long as it is relevant to this specific instance, of course)
Also, the Hellion Attack Beam model does not work like your regular beam. I am not sure, why it is called a beam model, it behaves just like an ordinary attachment.
Your best bet might be to create some amount of separate actors, which use slightly differing rotation sops.

The events of the actors tell the most. Those of the Beam (Simple) and the Site are most informative, else look at the SOps on the site.
