Hey guys, I'm having 2 problems with my currently map. One of this problems is related to textures (probably). The Mothership Core (PurifierMatrix.m3) acts weird if I retexture it and use it in Low Graphics (pics attached below). Just look at the orbiting central kind of ball. On the retexture, it appears completely white while on the original it appears some kind of blue. This is not happening on Medium Graphics settings. My second problem is that I don't know how to change the visuals of the Protoss shields when damaged. I've got the retextures of the models but I don't know how to apply them so my custom units use them. I'll attach the map and everything related to it. Thank you very much.
I've solved my second problem just adding a validator of time Combine, adding to this validator the Is Shield Capable and a custom one made which is Is Not Dark Protoss Unit of type Combine, adding in there my Unit Type validators of my custom units. In addition, I duplicated the Shield Impact actor to add my custom Dark Protoss Shield, This also with a custom validator combining the Is Shield Capable and Is Dark Protoss Unit (same as before but not excluding the units). I'm still looking for a solution for the texture problem. In addition, the Stand Work animation has a texture which I haven't been able of editing so it looks green: shockwave_fullrays1.dds. No matter what I do to this texture, it still being blue on the particle effect and I don't know what's happening.
I don't really know how but I solved both initial problems. Now I only have to guess how to change te texture color of the particle system mentioned above and will be finished (this is not a major problem, so I will not be disappointed if I can't solve it).
Particles can be retextures separately but light sources cannot, you need to use a hacky combination of set tint colour and texture swapping to do that.
