I recently played Cats n Mouse and how bad balanced that was, atleast the one on EU server, got me on the thought to recreate the Orcs & elves map which was on Warcraft 3. It's basically cats n mouse with alot less units, blocking and stuff. But what i need is the pillage effect from wc3. The effect gives you a percent of the buildings cost when you hit them.
Lets say a buildning costs 20 minerals and has 20 hitpoints, and if the pillage effect is 0,50 then you'll get 5 minerals each strike if you hit it for 10 damage.
Could anyone give me some help or a point me in the right direction?:) Didn't find any good effect to start off with.
Now, I don't know if this works or not but here goes because I don't have the editor here. Have a Behavior of type "Buff" on the buildings which we'll call "Damaged Resource Reward". Now, have an Effect of type "Modify Player" which awards 5 minerals to the target unit. Set this Effect as a Damage Response of the "Damaged Resource Reward" behavior so that the Effect happens on the attacker.
A problem I'm seeing is that the resource reward is set at 5 minerals here. You'll need a way to fix that since, as I said, I don't have the editor here and can't really check anything out. Regardless, start from there and see what you can muster up.
May the best man win. Seriously though, I'm bad with the editor :p , I just started this as a learning experience. Don't suspect any competition. And if somehow someway mine gets better than i yours then, hell, I'll release it:p
And yeah, still gotta find a good way to mine resources:(

Thanks, gotta fiddle around with that abit, see if i can get something out of it.
It pretty much requires triggers if you want the reward to scale with the damage done.
