I'm doing the latest WDE, and I have a beam weapon created for the High Templar. How it works is that it initially applies an Apply Behavior effect (I use this to delay the actual weapon damage and immobility behavior) that lasts for however long then applies the real behavior on removal. However, i seem to have 2 problems:
1. It refuses to create the beam effect until the "actual" behavior is applied
2. The beam effect both originates and ends on the target, and isn't launched from the caster (I assume this has something to do with the first issue).
How can i fix this? (and thanks for all of the help guys, i likely would have quit without you)

Sounds like actor problems. Seems you need to change the launch and impact sites and the conditions on which the beam is created.

I fixed it by changing the weapon effect to a Set that also applied a dummy damage effect. Dunno why it worked, but happy it did :)
