When you start a new map and check some dependencies..
1.- A - you duplicate stuff so you dont mess your other maps/game experience OR you duplicate stuff when you are going to use 2 variants of the same unit in the same map?
1.- B - If you change a unit in a map without duplicating it and save the map, will it change it on every map or is just for the actual map you are working on?
2. When you publish a custom map with custom units, it includes the modified units (no matter what dependency they are from) or you need to provide a MOD or something elese?
1 B. If you change something in the map that has a mod-file attached via dependency, it's map specific. If you change the mod-file for that dependency, you change it for every map that has that mod file.
2. if it is a custom mod file you have to publish it first, if it is a standard mod it's already on battle.net or you attached a mod from battle.net then you also don't need to upload it.

Thanks for the reply. So if I start a new map (newmap01) with say.. swarm.mod dependency attached, then edit a unit from that dependency (marine) without duplicating it and then I save the map. The nex time I create a different map (newmap02) with swarm.mod dependency, the unit will have those changes?- Or to make changes on MOD files you have to open them separately instead of attaching them as dependency?
Sorry about my noob questions, Im trying to understand the logic to make things easier.

Mod files are separate
Thanks for your time.
