Having some issues with autocast happening when I want it to, in particular, it is happening far more than I want it to....
Basically I have couple abilities that both have the same autocast settings, but one ability is Effect-target and another is Effect-instant. I have autocast acquire level set to offensive, autocast filters set to exclude player, ally, passive, exclude invulnerable, item, resource, stasis, that sort of thing. Also autocast is set to enabled, and autocast is automatically turned on. Now the effect-target ability is working great, only working when a hostile is nearby, etceteras. However, the Effect-instant keeps going off no matter where the unit is or what they are doing. How do I go about making this only happen when hostiles are nearby?
The filter for the effect-instant ability doesn't look for nearby enemy units or something. Effect-Instant abilities are usually targeted on the caster, and so the target filters check the caster. You will need some other method, for example an Enumerate Area validator used as autocast validator checking for nearby enemies.

@Kueken531: Go
Makes sense, probably good approach for certain beneficial autocasts as well. Will do it that way, thank you.
