I have a WoL custom map. A hero unit, with the launch interceptor ability. How do I make the fighters keep attacking even after I give the hero unit a move command. I'm not moving the hero outside of the attack range, even if I am standing directly on top of the enemy, it won't launch fighters unless I stop moving the hero. I want the fighters to basically automatically attack, even if I am giving the move command to the hero.
So I'm able to remove the create persistent, but when I remove that, then the unit only launches a single fighter. How do you modify this so that it will launch all the fighters without the persistent effect.
Basically, what I want the unit to do is while it is approaching an enemy target, I want it to automatically launch it's fighters without telling it to attack.

None of those solutions actually enable the unit to automatically launch its fighters when it is only in a move command. I have two other weapons able to fire in move command automatically without needing to be told to attack or stop. I have already messed with the -options, such as backswing, channeled versus channeling etc. Nothing has seemed to work.
I had a new idea, which I like better for what I want to do. Essentially, I want to create an ability called, "Fighter Launch". I also want the ability to have an autocast option. When the hero comes into range of enemy units, if Autocast is on, then the fighters will automatically launch. If autocast is not on, the fighters will not launch until the ability has been activated. Almost like a toggle switch, toggle fighters in and toggle them out. There is a similar ability on Starbattle. I have successfully, gotten the fighters to launch when in range of an enemy unit, but I can't get the fighters to return to the hero after the battle is over. They just stop and sit there. So Basically, any advice in editing the magazine effect / persistent effect, would be beneficial.

Under the Weapon for the Carrier: Carrier - Interceptor Launch go into Options+ and uncheck Only Fire While Attacking. That might do it.
May also need the Flag - Transient checked on the Hangar ability.
Sadly I am not too familiar with the Arm Magazine abilities, but I am pretty sure the solution your after is somewhere in the Options+.
You also need to stop the weapon being channelled and the attached Create Persistent.

I had another idea, and that was turning the launch fighter effect into an ability. Does anyone know how to go about doing this?

So having the Use Magazine effect on an ability does not make them return?
