It's my first post here (even though I've been reading you for a good time now) and I need some help for a teleport effect
I'm trying to make a special Unit that can only move by teleportation and that have a footprint of 1x1 that stick the grid (like a bulding)
So far, I've been successfull to put a footprint to the unit and to give it a teleport ability but the teleport ability doesn't work if the Unit has a footprint.
Can someone help me about this? Maybe there is another way to do it?

Testing the unit teleport ability without the footprint works fine?. Im assuming you are using the Stalkers "blink" as the base for the ability?
And yes I was working on the stalker blink ability, but I also tried to make a new teleport effect (used by the same ability) from scratch and I still have this issue, it works fine without a footprint, and it doesn't teleport at all with any footprint (even an empty one).

Ive never tried something like that, but I`d guess you would have to re-write your own teleport ability or modify the validators involved. I think the footprint effect prevents movement/teleporting and other flags.
When someone uses that skills, use a move unit to the skill target position. You'll need to call the effects too, probably, but you can link them to a behaviour and apply that behaviour in the trigger, or other workaround.
I 'm not very used to the editor yet, so I just tried doing "basic" things like modifying existing stuff.
I never tried trigger yet and I don't know how to create a new teleport ability that wouldn't use the teleport effect (which is the one that bring me trouble)
I'll look around for some doc on how to use triggers, I'm sure I'll need them very soon for something else anyway
If you are using a blank skill with triggers, it has a target point you can use for moving.
If not I can't help you, I know you can move a unit by relative coordinates, but I never did it. Do a search in the forum, probably something about polar movement...

Try using the supply depot drop down from the campaign. I have done what you are talking about with various buildings and units.

I've beein looking to triggers but I can't find how to move an unit using the grid
By supply depot drop down, you speak about the ability in the campaign to drop a supply depot anywhere in the map? (I don't remember well hehe)
I'm trying to figure it out, but it's not easy. If you have done something similar I could use a small sample if you don't mind
EDIT again: I can't find the spaceport from the campaign in the editor, so I can't look at its ability :p
