need help. Im a beginner to the editor but i learned quite much in the last days.
So the problem is: ive got an existing spaceship map there u can upg the armor near a command center.
There the button become visible and u can click on it. It gives u 3 armor and it costs 25 more each lvl.
Easy till that.
So, now i want upgrading the shield ammount too.
1 Click makes 3 armor + 100 Health points for example.
Or for another ship 4 armor + 100 shields + 4 shields armor. So 3 upgrades at once per click.
i looked 10 hours on the inet and searched everything.....but no one is explaing that...
i tried to add one upgrade on the ability data from the unit...but it seems,theres no thing for vital upgrading.
So, u have to create a complete new upgrade? and how can i link them then..
i rly need help..map is partly under the top 10, and i need someone who can help me a bit.

To emphasize the above, the solution is quite literally to use 1 upgrade instead of 2. Copy the modification list of the one upgrade into the other.
If it is not possible in table view then try in XML view. Modifications should be a list of sorts so you should just need to copy the one list and put it after the other ends.
If you are having problems upgrading the unit's vitals then you must not be looking hard enough since it is available to all upgrades. To be exact when you add a new entry to the modification list (effect array) change the catalog to Units* and then choose your desired unit to upgrade the vitals of. Select which field you want to upgrade. Each entry in the list can only affect a single field so you will need multiple entries to cover all the appropriate fields.
You can see an example of this with the Marine Shield upgrade. Any faction armor upgrade can be used as a reference for armor improvement. You may also need to add the unit type to the list of affected units or it might not upgrade existing unit properties (only new ones).
Here is the XML for an upgrade that will increase Archon Maximum life by 90 and armor by 3. Feel free to paste it in your map for reference to see how it was done.

yes i know that, i only find a life armor formula but not vital formula to add...

I can only copy and past the existing modification but i cant change the subject to upg the vital (HP) and even dont find the vital modification..its irritating me......
I am at the effect directory from the unit - a battlecruiser
there i have
Add: info charge count max^ Value 1
Add: technology ressource info cost^ Value 5
Unit: life armor lvl^ Value 1
Unit: life armor^ Value 3
that gives me 3 armor per upgrade. but now i want 100 HP too.
but i cant find it anywhere...thats my mainproblem :/
do i have to create a complete ne formula and adding vital (Life) extra?

You are not looking hard enough. After selecting the unit entry to modify you need to scroll down until you find the field. It should be called "Life Maximum". You also need one for Life Starting Amount which makes the same modification or the unit might not start at full life.
Remember that the Effect Array is nothing more than a list. As such you will need to add a new entry for each field you want to change for each entry you want to change. Increases life will need at least 2 more entries into the Effect Array.
You can also try XML view and adding the entries based on what I posted above if you are more comfortable using XML.
You need to get the last level of the Veterancy Behaviour used by the space ship to apply a Modify Player Effect. The effect then gives the player 1 level of an Upgrade that sets the "Shield Regeneration Delay" to 0 for that space ship.
the called space ship isnt in the list.. i only find the hyperion veterancy. Also i dont find that player effect then.
Its kinda pretty simple...i just want to get rid of the shield regen delay after reaching shield lvl 10.
I tried to edit the upgrade ability for shields...adding a new ability or behaviour,but still im pretty helpless at the moment :/

im not really sure what you are asking.
you want to upgrade ship armor and hp in the same upgrade? that is possible, just add another modification thingy by pressing the green +

Ok, now there the next issue :/
i want to increase the shield regeneration for my battlecruiser.
he hast now 10 per level. so he reaches 100 shield regen at lvl 10.
after the ship reached lvl 10 shields,i want a permanent shield regeneration...
how can i accomplish that?
permanent? what do you mean by that? the 10 per level is temporary?
well either way, upgrades are the path i would take to doing that.
that or have an ability on the ship that restores shields, with a requirement that needs level 10 shields to work.

I fixed the case by myself. Quite simple....and i dont even needed ur explanations.
Its quite funny how i solved this....
Just take the shield delay separately and do a subtract thing to it per level.....
A whole night spending only for that.
Editor makes me crazy :)
