Hi, I don't know if I'm posting this in the right section ( if not, could a mod move it plz ?)...
We have a custom game, and we would like to make small "tutorial" videos that would appear on a small screen (on Sc2) while the player plays. Like when the portrait of the characters appear when they talk in the campaign, but instead of a portrait, there would be a voice and a video explaining a concept.
Anyone knows how to do that ?
Please tell me if I lack details in my explanation.
@MacSC2: Go If you are going to use a cutscene, you need to learn about the Render To Texture (RTT) feature. If you already have a video and would like to import it somehow you can use the OGV format and use it as a texture. Many SC2 videos are made this way, and yes, some of them are used as portraits, specially because its easier to resize portraits in a dialog based on screen anchors.
You probably would not want to use the Cutscene editor for that kind of thing. IT would be a bit clunky and a pain to get it to appear in the way I think yo uwant it. I recommend doing SoulFilcher's second idea.
