Hey! As you know, I've been playing with photoshop and blender, and I've made a small aproach to the correct texture for the evolution chamber.
It's not perfect, but I doesn't contrast as much as it did before.
@Cacho56: Go Very smart. I stared at the old Nydus before, but didn't find an obvious way to make, so I moved on to other things. I guess I lack the out-of-the-box thinking for these ideas.
I think is better remove the upper spike central (the smallest) because in the SC1 Nydus Canal only have 2 big spikes not 3 and the "orb" in the upper can be flatted if is possible, now I will prove the new version of the Nydus

Because they are truly quite different. Nostalgia FTW.
Well our actualy models of Ling and Hydra (GN and Soul's models) are similar to the SC1 one.

With some modification can be a perfect Nydus Canal, good Cacho :D

Well... Here you have it.
I haven't reduced its size because it messed the animations. And I don't want to add animations because they will suck as my SCV portrait xD.
In game looks like the screenshot with a scale of 0.6 0.75 0.6.

@Cacho56: Go There is a flag in the material properties: alpha as team color. Compare it with team colored models and you will see.
The problem is that the texture of the spore cannon doesn't have team color. I believe that I have to edit the .dds, but I don't know how.

@Cacho56: Go You can use Photoshop or Aorta for that. Team color is set in the alpha channel.
