You do not need a custom model to do this. you can set the model rotation in the Data Editor.
For Units and Structures, the option will be under the Units Tab, named Stats:Facing.
For Doodads and other objects, the option will be under the Actor Tab named Art:Facing
You can also adjust individual doodads and units by selecting them and hitting Enter to bring up Unit Properties.
I wish is where that simple but unfortunately no, I still require the rotated model version as i have to apply a explicit siteop before even applying it to an actor. I need it rotated before, not after which has no effect.
Just use SOp (Explicit Rotation) or several in series. Any actor can be made to face any angle with that. A 45 degree rotation is a forward of +/-1, -1, 0 with an up of 0, 0, 1.
Or are you using the model for a feature that cannot have SOps applied to it?
Do not forget the order of the SOps in the list is important! Also make sure your explicit rotation is set to local.
Thanks that seems to have done it. I had tried that with the sop 45, but know the right numbers helps. Its weird tho, as site ops usually are, i had to apply it twice- first time didn't take, so i deleted it, hit undo and reapplied it a second time and it finally stuck.

Would someone be willing to rotation a model of installationroof_00. Needs to be 45 degress so that the model starts of as a square not a diamond. Thx
