I always thought it was funny how the Soul Hunter didn't last long in SC2 after it was revealed, probably because of the thousands of people saying "Now you're adding Necrons to the game?"
Baahahahahhaa You know, SC was originally posed to GW and they turned it down. So, they went ahead and made it anyway. The correlations are obvious. I bet GW kicks themselves all the time for saying no. lol BUT, we have the SC world now as a gift from their bad choice.

Sorry for the delay, I've been busy with SOTIS and Prison Break, both very entertaining. Been a little while but I think I'm done. I'm pretty substandard at texturing so this is all I can offer. The rar file includes a blend(model) file, UV Map (if someone wants to re-texture, emmisive, normal, and a spec. All of the files need to be converted to something sc2 will read.
The model is in blender format so SC2 will definitely NOT read it. However you can download blender and a plugin to convert it. Blender is a really really cool modelling program. If not, point me in the right direction, and I will glady do it for you. The model has no animations since i don't know how to even export the model itself.
The textures and UV map are in tga. Again, SC2 will NOT read it. It should be in .dds. I dont' know what the settings should be whilst in dds. I do not know anything formats well other then jpg, gif, and png.
I'm not too worried about anyone stealing my work cause it sort of sucks tbh. If you do though, just give a shout out, and I'll be happy.

Woa, did somebody make the revear modeL (I havent read al the posts)..if so, how would I get it into a map w/o external programs?
most importantly, why would blizzard remove a model that they already had in game..jeez its like they dont want us to make maps for them. bad maps from us = sc2 will die out faster
I only know how to apply the spec map. Nothing shines or glows because I didn't apply two other maps =P. So it's pretty bland right now.
Beautiful job, still! The texture looks almost just like the actual unit and so does the model. Some of the texture could be standardized and applied to all parts that look similar, as the blue parts look awkward and do not seem to have all the same shape from "ring" to "ring", same with the blue parts on the balls. Though that could just be because of the angle and the lack of the other textures...
BTW, Once you're done with this unit I'd have a request for you if you want. =)
:X 87 bytes means either the upload failed or the conversion failed. Though just looking at the other screenshot you provided makes me think it'll be super eay to animate once I get it.

Well we have references, both ingame and the dev render. Plus we have the genuine icons, I believe we can pull it off.
