Here's another "unfinished" HoTS model I'm working on: the 'ship' Photon Cannon. I believe it was meant to be used in the mission you infiltrate the giant protoss ship, but in the end they simply made a probe place pylons and standard photon cannons. I guess they thought it was so cool they decided to keep it for LoTV. But the death model is still there so I can make a model from it.
It'll need a walk animation and maybe 1-3 versions of ability animations, maybe one spreading it's limbs out and one sort of like a strike using it's limbs etc to allow map makers a bit of freedom and variation.
I meant the defiler, not the cannon. The cannon may need animations too, but there isn't much to it, it's a building. If the cannon has a death animation, a stand animation and maybe a launch animation, it's done.
I meant the defiler needed a walk, death, stand, and 1-3 ability casting animations, unless you did that already. That was the model I was originally referring to.
@yukaboy: Go The Defiler already has walk and spell animations. I added placeholder animations for burrow/unburrow and transport unload, but those look awkward and I don't want to release the model as it is now. I want to finish those animations first.
@DrSuperEvil: Go I'm not the best for fixing those, because I don't know how to re-skin models. I doubt those were already skinned leaving only the texture paths broken, but if thats the case I can fix them.
I think its a nice idea to have evolutions for units that didn't appear in HoTS or didn't have their own evolutions. I started with an easy one. Tweaking colors is easy, but I have to think of subtle model changes for both evolution strains.
