...which are basically reused from the Campaign, as those are Kerrigan's "Abilities".
Still seems viable as a drone evo, not saying for the campaign, but if someone were to make a map with the zerg evolutions in them, that could be something they could use.
Guys, i like your idea's. But this is Soul's cool models page. The Official Hots remake project post is here. Or if you want a more constructive post the TL post need some bumps to get it alive. And i really check it every day.
Also i release my first tech tree of the Grurp (green/purple) evolutions. But thats just my first idea's. Some grurps aren't so supper. And of course the upgrades :)
For the drone i have this idea so far
Drone Ability: Worker ability's
(upgrade)
- after morphing to static defends the drone will re spawn directly at the hatchery - Decrease Hatchery cost too 200 minerals - Give + 5 life
Evolve to Beetle :
- Spawn 2 drones per hatch, The drone will cost 0.5 food.
Evolve to Grunt :
- give + 1 more mineral and gas per trip
So again if you have idea's post them on 1 of these 2 forums :)
For those who haven't found it the Defiler model is vaiable for download in the assets section. The 'ship' Photon Cannon is already finished and currently waiting for a moderator's approval.

I was wondering if I could request specific aberration evolutions since I'm including them in my slowly-progressing campaign.
I requested it from Thrikodias awhile ago, but he seems to have vanished.
If it helps, I've got functions for each of the evolutions down already.
The first one, the abomination, has an energy bar. When it attacks foes, it gains 4 energy (+4 for bonus damage). When it reaches 200 energy, the eggsacs on its back burst open and spawn six infested terrans. In addition, the +20 to armoured becomes +20 to units with energy.
The second one, the ravager, is basically a mix of the aberration and the baneling. It gains a corrosive damage over-time ability called 'corrosive talons', which deal 20 damage (+25 to armoured, an additional five on top of the regular aberration's +20), as well as an additional 8 over a two seconds. When it dies, it explodes violently, dealing 40 damage to foes around it at range 2.
Sorry if that's a big request, but given it's just two tweaks to an existing model, and it's in the realm of something you seemed to be planning anyway, I hope it's not to unreasonable (I know not all modelers like having people make requests). Thanks for reading!
I don't think soul filcher does requests, though your idea for the first Aberation strain bears similarity to one of mine- The Canabal strain. Its attacks heal it and generate energy, though it loses energy outside of battle. When it gains a cetain amount of energy it can heal allies.
Also, do you think we should make a thread somewhere detailing all the various strains we can come up with?
@Muspelli: Go I'm not taking requests right now, but I have plans to make evolutions for other Zerg units. I've been busy, and using my 'SC2' time to actually play the game, so my models are in a very slow progress right now. I don't want to simply recolor the evolutions green/purple. I think Blizzard was lazy with some units, not to mention the portraits.
So even though its in my plans, don't expect the models anytime soon.
@Metalking1417: Go I did, but I already have things to finish and that's why I'm not accepting more requests.
One more simple doodad for Starmon: a new variation for the RubbleWall90 doodads. It will be included in my doodad pack 3 when I gather enough of them.
Is anyone else working on doodad models? They are so much easier to change, no need for attachments or even animations for most of them.

Some people asked for the evolution of the drone, so I decided to throw in a purple evolution for it, using the same model I'm using for the primal variation.
sorry to squash you, but in the canpaign the primal zerglings have the gather ability
check in the map editor but i think you removed it in sc expanded
Be sure to check out the extension mod: Hots Custom Map support on NA and EU, Despite the name it greatly expands the roster of options for the default 3 races and is updated all the way to NCO.
@nolanstar: Go No "squash" at all, I'm not bound to HotS campaign or even SC Expanded here, and I doubt pople would want to use the primal zerglings for harvesting anyway, so I believe that model is a good idea.
After a long break I got some free time for modelling, so I decided to revive this thread. A few old projects may get finished and released.
A mercenary Dropship made in collaboration with GhostNova is already waiting for mod approval in the Assets section. The other I want to show here is my hybrid Hydralisk, a very old project that got some improvements in the last few days.

... Fairly sure the drones die when they mutate into buildings. But yes to the other one.
