Ctrl + E doesn't work for me or the animation isn't imported. Which window do you focus when you press ctrl + E?
Where does the animation appear? I'm a 3dsMax noob, but I try to figure out how to get D3 models into sc2. So, I would love to see each single click one has to make to import an animation and make it usable for sc2, so that I could potentially export it and use the model ingame. :)
First I get the error for the APP import. I click ok on the error message, then select the script window. Then press Control + E. This closes the maxscript thing over on the right side.
Find the APP import again on Maxscripts then Import again, should work this time.
Yes I did actually, but some of them appear to have an usable content, some MD5 hashing, which means it is encrypted :/ not all of them but the Idle for the crusader for example has this MD5 hash. Also, some of the newer models have that encryption asswell.

I repeat the process for the ANI import as well.
The APP import works without problems. The ANI importer has the problem.
Ctrl + E is the shortcut for "Select and Non-uniform Scale" button in my pretty much fresh installation of 3DSmax 2011. I've tried closing the script manually using the "close" button and selecting the script in the "utilities" dropdown, selecting the animation file again and executing the import again, but it just keeps failing every time I try it. I've no idea what I could be doing wrong and why that is even working for you then... =/
Or is that somehow working without me noticing? Where would I be able to see the result of the import?
edit:
guys/ladies, I need a list of clicks to figure that out as the hotkey stuff isn't working. I really would like to be able to put D3 models into SC2 myself... *desperatly cries for help*
To anyone looking to use these scripts they don't work with RoS 2.0 or higher patch. Blizzard Repackaged their files causing nothing to load or convert properly. So don't update to 2.0 if you can.
Does not link the Textures.
Does not animate the Cloth meshes ( don't seem to find something about this ...)
If the error in max occurs, just reavaluate the script ( control + e)
I got the animation error again, but I did the Control + E thing for it as well and it works now.
He looks much better in Starcraft 2 than he did in Max.
I am so glad it finally works!!
Did you apply some normal mapping or just the once from D3 ?
Got the PTR models to work aswell, and I found the model for the Crusader, male and female!! But no texture yet :/

Have you looked into the animation sets yet?

Still say blender compatibility might be nice for amateurs.

The are referenced as Hard Points, and are extracted from the .app file, so you can make ref points to them in Max 2011 :)

As long as they have hardpoints that show up in the editor. You can attach stuff to points known as hardpoints.

You can download the new scripts that supports Reaper Of Souls and the Initial edition.
Import APP and ANI file script are included in the zip file.
Tested on MAX 2011 x86 only
