yeah well, that is another question :/ if only I knew how blizzard uses the shaders from D3 so I could generate the normal and specular map ... but that is not in my power to unravel (yet)
Neat! Should be very useful. Hopefully someday in the future converting the normal/specular maps will be automatic (or at least simple) too. Nevertheless, good job. :)
My brother has a degree in computer software and electronic engineering. He probably can give you good advice in that direction. He is a mod on the Hive Workshop site. His account is DrSuperGood.

I wish I could provide you with good news, alas...I am now getting an error message trying to import the APP files now when I have the new ANI script on loaded on startup.
Unknown property: "parentID" in (D3Bone id:1 name: "Pelvis" theBone:undefined)
I don't know why that happens, just reapply the script ( press CONTROL + E) when that error happens, then try again, that should solve it, really don't know why that happens...

As far as I know, yes, I haven't found any model yet that failed to import and was unable to animate.
but it does NOT support the D3 PTR ( beta) models, I tried it on the Crusader, no luck, yet

How are you getting the model the animations? I get an error when I import the animations.
Call needs function or class got: undefined
@Daara87: Go
Which model and which animation are you using?
I know that, for the butcher for example, some of his animations are not working, because in the ani file there is no reference to any of the bones.
@DrSuperEvil: Go
Well, if he can figure out the compressed shader files from the Shaders.mpq, that would be neat !
In the new files ( from the beta) there is a nicer reference to which shaders are used, only the animation files differ also, so no luck there yet...

I tried multiple models. The Angel Trooper and the Female Wizard.
Ok, I'll check this tonight.. I haven't tried the female wizard, but I surely tried the Angel trooper.. keep you posted.

Strange, just tested the Angel trooper, true, he only has one obvious animation, but probably other animations can be used for him as well.
Btw, which Female wizard file did you use? the OneBatch, the CharacterSelect or the full model?

I Love diablo 3 Angels trooper, beautiful design! But is sad that they are losers

Don't worry they are getting a beefy upgrade in the expansion along with all summons.

Not sure which one it was. It happens with every model I try. Am I just doing something incorrect? I know next to nothing when it comes to scripts.
@TaylorMouse: Go
Weird, did you try to remove that line, since it is only a message being shown?

When I deleted the line it just went down to the next line and had the same error. Deleted the next one, same error.
I got the same issue as Daara. 64 bit if that matters. I tried both of Belial's models as well as Rakanoths (named lord of despair), no dice.
I don't have a 64 bit machine, so I really cannot test it :/
Sorry guys

Tried it on the 32-bit version of Max as well. Still got the same error.
Well, then you will have to lead me thru the process one by one.
I attached my latest script, does NOT work with the beta files (yet, working on it)
but this should work :/
