Oh I used the MoP model... I don't play WoW so I wasn't sure which one to use and figured the MoP was the most recent. I can change it though :)
Take it up with Blizzard lol that face is the HoTS Kerrigan model :)
I'm calling the yellow one the longbow. It looks slightly similar to an Apache helicopter which has a variant called longbow. The other one is simply another mech. Both are inspired from a series about mechs and all. In my campaign the longbow will fill in what the warhound was missing both visually and gameplay wise.
wtf zarxiel that wasn't a goliath,the goliath is completely different!!!!The sc2 one is perfect,and i didn't noticed new arclites,i see only cs2 alpha tanks T.T
Hmmmm..... I dunno, Kerrigan still looks a bit weird. Though if you look at it... wait, do you intend for the portrait to be able to move like story mode?
Firstly, love the new models :) is the Jaina Ghost using the WoW texture? If so it would be fairly easy to make a version with pre Pandaria skin (with the blonde hair) as they use the same texture layout I believe)
Concerning the walkers, the red one seems vaguely familiar but can't quite place it... though looking at the fact the other one is gold are they based on walkers from the C&C series at all?
Ghost is from my campaign. Might go through some changes I definitely want new anims on him.
Glad you guys like the mechs I am surprised you guys don't know where I got the inspiration from :)
I'll give you guys Kerrigan but I gotta make some changes so she's less......Hawaiian dude lol
Actually, I know where you drew inspirations from both of those mechs. They look both uncannily just like their inspirations; The gold one is ED-209 from Robocop and the red one is the Uziel, which features on the front cover of Mech Warrior 4: Vengeance. You're welcome. ;)
As for the Kerrigan portrait...Why not make her hair like in the "Betrayal" cinematic?
because Kerrigan with the horse-tail hair already exist in the editor of SC2, GN want make Kerrigan with the apparence similar of SC1.
In my mod we decided to use the official Kerrigan portrait, but we use GN's Kerrigan portrait for the Mercenary Jenn the Vivacious of the Mission Mercenaries II
I don't think the betrayal cinematic can be take as cannon because the actual action happend on a space platform, not on Tarsonis. The reasons for the cinematic showing Kerrigan on Tarsonis are:
1. Jim was way to drunk to remmember how his love was kidnaped by the Zerg, after all it was his dream.
2. Wol team was way to drunk to remmember the action of the game or they didn't even played the game.
Each of these cases are feasible.
IMO GN portrait is better for Kerrigan since the blizzard portrait is just a recolored Nova portrait, they were just to lazy to create a better one, even the Echo ghost has/had her own portrit.
Well technically the Betrayal cinematic IS canon as it's Blizzard who made it, even if it is a retcon.
Maybe they felt it worked better cinematically it being on the planet rather than a space platform.
Not that this is either here nor there concerning GN's models heh.
As for using a recoloured Nova, well the 'Sarah' portrait appears for one line of dialogue. That's not really lazy, it's efficient, especially as Nova does have more than a passing resemblance (probably intentional from the SC: Ghost days as she was basically 'not Kerrigan' for players to play as :)
As for the Echo Ghost, she was also originally just a Nova recolour. She only got the more unique look in patches subsequent to the release of WoL, and we STILL don't know who the heck she is or what she's for xD
In SC1 very models is very different, for exemple, the Overmind in SC1 appear a giant human eye, but in SC2 is a giant armored-alien-eye, this for this reason.
In SC1 the graphic is very old and is hard create models very well, in SC2 they decided to make an apparence more realist, if you see the artwork the characters and units have the apparence of SC2 (for exemple Raynor or Kerrigan in the cinemetics-flashback or in the artworks)
Indeed. I've also noted that in SC2 there seems to have been a greater effort towards unifying the looks of the races so they look like they are part of the same army, this can especially be seen with the SC2 Ultralisk for example having some elements in common with both the Hydralisk and the Zergling (The big sloped head plate thing from the Hydralisk and the curved horn/tooth/mandible things on either side of the mouth much like the Zergling.)
This is especially true of the Protoss, specifically their buildings which I always felt were a bit random in SC1 whereas in SC2 they have a clear common design ethic to nicely bind them together.
other modification is the style color of the protoss, the Khalai have gold and blue, and the DT have silver and green, but in SC1 the Corsair is gold (for this reason I make in my mod the Corsair silver)

Did an update on the human Kerrigan portrait now that I have the human Kerrigan HOTS model. Looks a thousand times better now :)
Never played WoW but I made a Jaina ghost. Think I should see if Blizz will put her into Allstars? Ha ha that would be funny.
Just a reminder guys I don't know if/when I'll be releasing any of these at this point. Just remember this is a showcase.
Wow. Great work! Just a few pointers though...
Jaina is a bit more blond.
Kerrigan's eyebrows, man. Makes her look like confused a four-year old staring at Slenderman.
But yes, extremely great portrait and... what are those two Goliathy things?
Very nice! Great to see a classic SC1 portrait remade.
Love the classic style siege tanks and goliaths too :D
Very well, we now have:

Thanks man! Although I haven't changed the tanks from the ones I released a while back changes are coming to it. Also those aren't Goliaths :)
@Zarxiel93: Go
Not goliaths :)
aah ok, who is the ghost?

Maybe Longbow should have shoulder cannons?

I'm really liking those mechs...And the redone Kerrigan portrait definitely needs to be released :P
lol the new Full size portrait looks great, but the one you have for your Forums Icon looks like a ha-wain guy in a wig...
Ghost is from my campaign. Might go through some changes I definitely want new anims on him.
