hi guys-
I have a problem with some custom death models I made. It's not going to dissapear! Original SC2 death models are usually end with some melting effect, you know. I want to do that on my death models. I studied example models in SC2 art tool, so I learned 'offset colors' is related to melting effect, but when I set the same value to my models, it didn't work. It's dead end, I need help. Thanks
Edit: I believe I found it, there is no key at frame 760 for the Color Operation to indicate it needs to start to fade until frame 850 as is for the Death Sniperkill on frame 2160 (or something)
I tested it, added it attachment, can you verify ?
I really appreciate for your help! but I can't find fixed thing. The weapon is still not 'melt down'. In case I missed something, here's what I did with your file, open & preview, that's all.
for the weapon material I selected Mask, Opaque
Alpha threshold = 2 (-> very important)
Priority = 1
In the Mask Texture Parameter I added the blastmark4.tga ( from the Art Tools Shared images)
Selected to use only the Blue layer in the Color Operations
For the RGB Add, I set to 1 on frame 600 (Auto Key enabled ofcourse)
and the same for frame 760
then at frame 850 I set the RGB Add to -5

You are sure you got the settings in the material correct?
Can you post the model?

Here it is, I change the weapon of normal marine death animation.
Ok, I was actually needing the MAX file, that is a lot easier, cause the m3 importer does a bad job in importing it perfectly.

And this works, or at least it works for me :/

@TaylorMouse: Go
You missed a detail, the most time you also need to adjust the titling to 0.5, 0.5 (U, V). 0.0
Mmm, yes indeed, thnx, Delphinium
